Bio

Natalie Mitchell is an experienced screenwriter and playwright whose work spans television, theatre and audio drama. Her television credits include more than 50 episodes of BBC’s EastEnders, alongside episodes of Waterloo Road and Ackley Bridge.

Her wider writing credits include the Tinniswood Award-nominated audio drama The Piper, the National Theatre Connections play When They Go Low, and Germ Free Adolescent, which was nominated for the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Award for Best Play for Young Audiences.

In her classes, Natalie combines practical writing exercises with script readings and lively discussion to explore the essential elements of screenwriting. Students have opportunities to share their work and receive dramaturgical guidance, helping them develop their ideas, strengthen their scripts and build confidence in their writing.
